Mail Me !
Moto GB Challenge 2004
My choice of bike is another slight concern - it's a KTM 640 Supermoto - not known for it's comfort or long range ability.

A wise man once said, "Four wheel's move the body. Two wheels move the soul."  He obviously hadn't ridden a KTM too far - I admit it has moved my soul but also my kidneys and various other vital organs!  The hot tub and rubdown tent better be set up at the end of the day or there is going to be trouble.
Anyway, if you personally want to sponsor me or your company thinks it could benefit from having a strategically placed sticker on the bike or myself then please get in touch.

Email using the link below - I'll have an update here after the event including photos and details of any sponsors I manage to accumulate and will also be writing an article for The Spirit (Brooklands) and Intercom (Wey Valley Advanced Motorcyclists) magazines.

Cheers, Lee.
I recently attended an evening talk at the Wey Valley "Advanced" Motorcyclists run by Team Desert Rose which covered their valiant attempt to get a KTM motorcycle (hopefully with rider, Patsy Quick attached and unharmed) through the Paris-Dakar Rally in early 2004.

Unfortunately, this has led to me signing up for my own road-based "enduro" event around Great Britain.  Hopefully, I won't be doing too much unintentional off-roading either!

The trip kicks off in mid-July and I'll be paying my own way but also trying to raise some money for the
Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey (the birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation) for their return and restoration of Concorde to Brooklands which is currently underway.

The Moto GB Challenge was devised by round the world motorbike traveller and general sadist Nick Sander's (the tired looking chap below) and had it's inaugural run last year. No one got killed so they are running it again.

It basically involves riding about
3000 miles on the route shown in the above poor quality image - down from Santa Pod in Leicestershire to Cornwall, up through Wales, the Lake District and Western Scotland to John O'Groats and back to Kelso.
